久松公園
Beautiful Park Lined with Cherry Blossom Trees with Tottori Castle Ruins and Western-style Buildings
Kyusho Park is a park with many highlights, including Jinpukaku and the Prefectural Museum, centered on Tottori Castle Ruins. More than 400 cherry trees blossom here in spring with the park becoming crowded as a hanami (cherry blossom viewing) spot. Jinpukaku is a chalk wooden-structure tile-roofing two-story building based on the French Renaissance style that was built in the Meiji period (1868 to 1912). The elegance of this appearance and the beauty of the Japanese garden go well together. This has led to the building being listed as an important cultural property of Japan.
