It is Yasugi-bushi Engei-kan Theatre (Yasugi-bushi Entertainment Hall) where you can enjoy Yasugibushi performance .
Do you know Yasugibushi?
Maybe this is your first time to hear this name.
Yasugibushi is one of the most famous folk songs in Japan. It is originated from local folk song sung in the mid Edo period around Yasugi area.
When mentioned Yasugibushi performance, it is well-known for its special dance “Dojosukui”.
“Dojou” is a small fresh loach and “sukui” means to scoop up with a basket. This humous dance with the rhythm of Yasugibushi will give you a special memory.
Also the customes can join the Dojosukui” together.
There are 4 performances a day
10:30-11:00, 11:40-12:10, 13:30-14:00, 15:30-16:00.
In NHK series drama ” Warotenka”(「わろてんか」）, you also can find the Yasugibushi performance.
